1. Introduction
Let It Be World ("we", "us", or "our") operates the Let It Be — Journal & Wellness mobile application (the "App"), available on the Google Play Store under the package name com.selfcare.gratitude.manifest.calm.meditation.simple.minimalist.journal.
This Privacy Policy explains what information the App collects, how it is used, stored, and protected, and what rights you have regarding your data. We believe your personal data belongs to you, and we have designed the App with privacy at its core.
By downloading, installing, or using the App, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Privacy Policy.
2. Scope of This Policy
This Privacy Policy applies exclusively to the Let It Be mobile application for Android. It does not apply to any third-party websites, applications, or services that may be linked from within the App or from our website at letitbeworld.com.
3. Information We Do NOT Collect
We are committed to minimal data collection. The following data is never collected, accessed, transmitted, or stored by us:
- Journal entries & personal content — Your journal entries, gratitude logs, gratitude lists, vision boards, habit tracking data, affirmations, mood records, and all personal content remain stored exclusively on your device. We have zero access to this data. We cannot read, view, upload, or retrieve it under any circumstances.
- Personally identifiable information (PII) — We do not collect your name, email address, phone number, date of birth, physical address, government-issued identification, or any other personally identifiable information through the App. There is no account creation or sign-in required.
- Location data — The App does not request, access, or track your geographic location (GPS, IP-based, or network-based).
- Contacts — We do not access your phone contacts or address book.
- Camera & photos — We do not access your camera, photo gallery, or media library unless you explicitly choose to attach an image to a journal entry. Any selected image remains stored locally on your device and is never uploaded to our servers.
- Microphone & audio — We do not access your microphone or record audio.
- Browsing history — We do not monitor, track, or collect your browsing activity, search history, or app usage outside of the Let It Be app.
- Biometric data — We do not collect fingerprint, face recognition, voiceprint, or any other biometric data.
4. Information We Collect (Analytics Only)
We use Firebase Analytics (provided by Google) and Amplitude solely to understand how the App is used in aggregate so we can improve features, fix bugs, and enhance the user experience. The analytics data collected includes:
- App open events and session duration
- Screen views (which screens are visited and in what order)
- Feature usage patterns (e.g., how often meditation, breathing exercises, journaling, or affirmation features are used)
- Crash reports, ANR (Application Not Responding) reports, and performance metrics
- Device type, manufacturer, and model (for compatibility testing)
- Operating system version (Android version)
- App version and build number
- Screen resolution and display density
- Language and locale settings
- General geographic region (country-level only, derived from IP address by Firebase — we do not see or store IP addresses ourselves)
This data is anonymous and aggregated. It cannot be used to identify you personally. We do not link analytics data to any individual user, device identifier, or advertising ID. We do not create user profiles, behavioral profiles, or any form of fingerprinting.
5. Device Permissions
The App may request the following device permissions:
- Storage (read/write) — Required to save and load journal entries, images, and App data locally on your device. This data never leaves your device.
- Notifications — Optional. Used to send local reminders (e.g., daily journaling prompts, meditation reminders) that you schedule within the App. These notifications are generated entirely on-device; no push notification server is involved.
- Internet access — Required for anonymous analytics reporting, subscription verification via Google Play, and loading online content when applicable. Your personal journal data is never transmitted over the internet.
- Vibration — Used for haptic feedback during breathing exercises and meditation timers.
- Wake lock / alarm scheduling — Used to trigger scheduled reminders and meditation timers reliably.
You can review and manage these permissions at any time through your device's Android Settings > Apps > Let It Be > Permissions.
6. Data Storage & Retention
All your personal content — journal entries, gratitude lists, vision boards, habit tracking data, affirmation selections, mood records, and settings — is stored locally on your device using Hive, an encrypted local database. This data is:
- Stored only on your device's internal storage
- Never synced, backed up, or transmitted to any remote server by us
- Automatically removed if you uninstall the App (unless your device's backup settings preserve app data)
- Under your full control — you can delete individual entries or all data at any time from within the App
Analytics data is retained by Firebase Analytics for up to 14 months and by Amplitude per their default retention policies. Since this data is anonymous and aggregated, it cannot be traced back to you.
7. Data Security
We take the security of your information seriously:
- Local encryption — The App's local database (Hive) stores your data in a binary format on your device's internal storage, which is sandboxed by the Android operating system and inaccessible to other apps.
- No remote storage — Since we do not store your personal data on any server, there is no risk of a server-side data breach compromising your journal content.
- Secure transmission — All analytics data transmitted to Firebase and Amplitude is encrypted in transit using industry-standard TLS (Transport Layer Security) encryption.
- No third-party data sharing — We do not sell, trade, rent, or share your personal data with any third party for marketing, advertising, or any other purpose.
8. Subscriptions & Payments
If you subscribe to Let It Be Pro, all payment processing is handled entirely by Google Play Billing. We do not collect, process, store, or have access to:
- Your credit/debit card number or expiry date
- Your UPI ID, bank account details, or wallet information
- Your billing address or name as entered in Google Pay
- Any other financial or payment information
We only receive a purchase token from Google Play to verify that a valid subscription exists, which allows us to unlock Pro features. This token does not contain any personal or financial information. Google's privacy policy governs all payment data handling.
9. Third-Party Services
The App integrates the following third-party services, each governed by their own privacy policies:
- Firebase Analytics (Google LLC) — Anonymous app usage analytics and crash reporting. Firebase Privacy Policy
- Firebase Crashlytics (Google LLC) — Automatic crash and error reporting to help us fix bugs. Firebase Privacy Policy
- Amplitude (Amplitude Inc.) — Anonymous product analytics. Amplitude Privacy Policy
- Google Play Billing (Google LLC) — Subscription payment processing. Google Privacy Policy
We do not share any personal data with these services beyond what is described in this policy (anonymous analytics events and subscription verification tokens).
10. Advertising
The App does not display advertisements of any kind. We do not use advertising SDKs, tracking pixels, retargeting tools, or any form of ad-related technology. We do not share your data with any advertising networks.
11. Children's Privacy
The App is not directed at children under the age of 13 (or the applicable age of digital consent in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect any personal information from children.
Since the App does not collect personal information from any user, there is no risk of children's data being harvested. However, if you are a parent or guardian and believe a child has used the App in a way that concerns you, please contact us at hello@letitbeworld.com and we will assist you promptly.
12. Your Rights Under Applicable Law
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have certain rights regarding your personal data. Since we do not collect personal data, there is typically no personal data for us to provide, delete, correct, or port. Nonetheless, we respect your rights and respond to all legitimate requests.
European Union (GDPR)
If you are a resident of the European Economic Area, you have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict processing of, and port your personal data, as well as the right to object to processing and not be subject to automated decision-making. Since we do not collect personal data, these rights are automatically fulfilled. The anonymous analytics data we collect has a legitimate interest legal basis (Article 6(1)(f) of GDPR) for improving the App.
California (CCPA / CPRA)
If you are a California resident, you have the right to know what personal information is collected, the right to delete it, and the right to opt out of its sale. We confirm: we do not sell personal information. We do not collect personal information as defined under the CCPA.
India (Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023)
If you are an Indian resident, you have rights under the DPDP Act including the right to access, correct, and erase personal data. Since we do not process personal data as defined under the Act, these obligations are inherently satisfied. This App is developed and operated from India.
Other Jurisdictions
If you reside in a jurisdiction with applicable data protection laws not listed above, please contact us and we will address your request in accordance with local law.
You can also reset your advertising identifier or opt out of personalized analytics through your device settings: Android Settings > Google > Ads > Reset advertising ID or Delete advertising ID.
13. International Data Transfer
Anonymous analytics data collected by Firebase and Amplitude may be processed on servers located outside your country of residence, including in the United States. These services employ industry-standard safeguards (including Standard Contractual Clauses for EU data transfers) to protect data in transit and at rest. Since this data is anonymous and cannot identify you, the privacy risk associated with such transfers is minimal.
14. Data Breach Notification
Since we do not store personal data on our servers, a traditional data breach affecting your personal information is not possible through our systems. In the unlikely event that a breach affecting anonymous analytics data occurs through a third-party service, we will investigate the matter promptly and notify affected users through in-app notifications and our website if required by applicable law.
15. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in the App, our practices, or applicable laws. When we make material changes, we will:
- Update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page
- Provide notice through an in-app notification where appropriate
- Post the updated policy on our website at letitbeworld.com
Your continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated Privacy Policy. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
