Privacy policy for Drift

Last updated: 17 October 2026

Drift is a game about a ball that rolls and grows. It has no account and no sign in. This page says what the game keeps on the device, what it sends out, to whom, and what choices exist.

Who is responsible

Drift is made by the team behind letitbeworld.com. Questions, and any request about information, go to hello@letitbeworld.com.

What stays on my phone

Everything the game remembers: scenes cleared, stars, coins, shards, the album, ball skins, settings, a scene left half rolled, and the list of purchases made. It is saved on the device by the game. The game keeps no server copy of it. The phone's own backup service may copy it if that is switched on in the phone's settings.

What leaves the device, and why

ServiceWhat it receivesWhenWhy
Google AdMob Advertising ID, IP address, device and app information, how an ad was used When an ad is requested, and only after the consent step below allows it Showing ads, limiting repeats, measuring and preventing fraud
Google User Messaging Platform My consent choice Where a region requires a consent message Recording consent
Firebase Analytics (Google Analytics for Firebase) A random installation identifier, device model, operating system, app version, country (worked out from the IP address), and gameplay events: a scene started or finished, stars earned, a purchase made or cancelled, an ad shown, a step of the first run Only where consent allows it and I have not turned usage statistics off Understanding how the game is played so it can be improved
Firebase Crashlytics Crash reports: the error, the state of the app and device, and an installation identifier When the game crashes Finding and fixing crashes
Firebase Remote Config The installation identifier and app information, in return for settings When the game starts Switching features on or off and tuning numbers without a new release
Firebase App Check with Google Play Integrity (Android) or Apple App Attest (iOS) A token showing the request comes from the genuine app When the game asks letitbeworld.com for new scene packs Protecting the scene packs from misuse. It carries no player information
letitbeworld.com The usual web request data, including the IP address When the game asks for new scene packs Delivering scene packs. If it is unavailable the game builds the same scenes on the phone
Google Play or the Apple App Store Purchase details, handled by the store When a purchase is made or restored Purchases. The game receives a product identifier and an order identifier, never payment details

Ads are requested as non-personalised. The game marks its ad requests as not directed to children and not under the age of consent, and asks for ads no stronger than Teen content.

Not sent anywhere: names, email addresses, contacts, photos, files, microphone, camera, precise location, or anything I type (the game has no text entry). The game sets no user identifier, so it cannot look up what these services hold about one person.

Reminders are local to the phone. The game uses no push service. It asks once, after the first album page fills, and never at launch. The share card is built on the phone and goes only where I send it from the share sheet.

Ads

Drift shows short video ads when I choose them for a reward. There can also be an ad between scenes, never inside one. "No ads" removes the between-scene ads for good. Ads come from Google AdMob, which may process device information such as an IP address and the advertising ID, as described in Google's ad technology policy.

My choices

Keeping and deleting information

On the phone, "Reset my record" in Settings deletes the game's record, and uninstalling the game removes its stored data. Information already held by Google's services (Firebase and AdMob) is not tied to a name or a user identifier by the game, and it is kept for the periods set in those services. To ask about it, write to hello@letitbeworld.com.

Where I live

Children

Drift is made for a general audience and is not directed to children. It is not in a program for children's apps. The game does not knowingly collect personal information from children. A parent or guardian who believes a child has sent information can write to the email above.
