Shadow Work

Shadow work is the practice of exploring the hidden, avoided, or unloved parts of yourself, often through journaling, to understand and integrate them.

The 'shadow' is a Jungian idea: the traits we push out of sight. Meeting them on the page, with curiosity instead of judgement, tends to loosen their grip.
